Resyndications

Who doesn’t enjoy a tax break or the opportunity to save, while still making renovations. Resyndications can occur every 15 years and are often done to preserve an existing LIHTC property. Planning for and Resyndicating a property requires a ton of planning, as the process features both development and compliance issues. It is imperative to include the State Housing Finance Agency as early as possible in the planning process as well as creating and reviewing a Qualified Allocation Plan, which can be two major compliance issues later on if not performed correctly.
